Alongside my more traditional wok of supporting PE leaders and teachers alike within the trust, recently I have worked with external partners to improve the positive impact of PE, Physical Activity and School Sport has on pupils across our trust and further a field. Initially this focussed on successfully securing a bid from Sport England to develop engagement in PE of all students shaping the development of a centralised 3 -19 curriculum that is taught across all academies within the trust in both primary and secondary phases. Further to this, I work as the regions representative in a national consultation group the FA. I this role as a strategic lead my aim is to increase engagement in sport, using Girls Football as a driver, to develop physical literacy and life skills in students. Further to this, I work very closely with the youth sport trust and sit on the MAT Trust Advisory Group. The role of the group is to raise the status of PE, Physical Activity and School Sport through providing expertise and advice on its development and positioning within the Youth Sport Trust, Multi Academy Trust leads and the wider educational landscape.
