School Improvement
As a former Teaching School (since 2012) and as a trust for over 10 years, the CLF has offered support to local schools, sharing practice and expertise and working alongside to assist their progress with improvement priorities. Support includes:
- Expertise and leadership of safeguarding, attendance and behaviour;
- Reviews of provision for Pupil Premium pupils, pupils with SEND pupils, teaching and learning;
- Curriculum, finance and HR processes, governance and Multi Academy Trust (MAT) development and support;
- Subject and phase specific expertise available from 60 Specialist Leaders in Education (SLEs).
In 2019 we designed a Multi Academy Trust development programme to support Trusts with professional development across all services and functions whilst growing and achieving maturity. The indicative content of this programme has some overlap with the NPQ programme for Executive Leaders that we have offered during the last two years.
We have worked with many schools and trusts through the DfE School Improvement commissions, the Covid Recovery School-to-School Support offer and the new Trust & School Improvement offer. We have also developed bespoke support and development packages with trusts, tailored to their priorities and areas for improvement.
