The course has given me much greater insight into the role of Executive Leadership, especially from a MAT perspective. The course materials have deepened my reading and led me down some different pathways, which have directly benefitted my school.
A useful opportunity to explore leadership styles, understanding the value of curriculum led budgets and develop a network of professional contacts.
The face to face days were always really useful, I came away with lots of notes which supported my write up at the end of the course. The time during the sessions to 'have a go' at writing sections was useful as I gained feedback throughout and again was able to use this during my final write up. The reading materials always left me feeling inspired and empowered to implement what I had learnt immediately back in school. Having afternoon talks from leaders was always really interesting to hear their journey, their experiences and their words of encouragement.

The NPQSL has helped me to be reflective about my practice, develop and improve it and think about my role in a whole school context. This is an important step in moving form Middle Leadership to Senior Leadership. The range of research and theory discussed had broadened my knowledge of leadership and management as well as giving me insight into my own teaching practice.
